1.) Don Broco
After seeing these London natives rock a sold out NYC show a couple weeks back on their run with State Champs, I just can’t stop listening. Hard rock vibes with unique vocals and a dash of pop flare has Don Brocco filling up all of my summer playlists.
Favorite Songs: Pretty; You Wanna Know; Wrong Place Wrong Time
2.) Beach Weather
Come on, the name says it all. With their melodies that make you want to roll your windows down on a drive down the shore and the diverse sound oozing out of every track released, you’ll be hooked for good.
Favorite Songs: Chit Chat; Home Movies; Swoon
3.) Broadside
These guys were my go to soundtrack for any late night adventure or boring drive to work last year. It is no doubt that their second full length will be just as much of a banger as their first, so make sure to pick up “Paradise” dropping June 16th!
Favorite Songs: Hidden Colors; Come & Go; Paradise
4.) Grayscale
Put them on your rainy-day playlist, driving playlist, any other playlist that you can think of because every song is a straight up BOP. With new album “Adornment” freshly released, it’s no wonder we’re craving some PA pop punk for some summertime vibes.
Favorite songs: If I Ever See You Again; Atlantic; Come Undone
5.) AS IT IS
A summer ’16 staple for me, AS IT IS never disappoints. With a fresh album released in January, there’s no way you wouldn’t want this band to be the soundtrack to every reckless decision you make during late night’s with your friends and everything in between.
Favorite songs: Patchwork Love; Turn Back To Me; Concrete
6.) With Confidence
Summer always calls for some Better Weather and WithCon is filled with sunshine. Seriously, you can’t have a summer playlist without them in my totally unbiased opinion. All jokes aside, nothing sounds better by the pool than a mix of old and new tracks from these Aussie natives.
Favorite Songs: Gravity; Tonight; Higher
7.) Travis Scott:
Totally out of my comfort zone, however I still can’t get over how captivating it was to watch Travis Scott perform in April. His energy encapsulated the room like nothing I’ve ever seen before, and I have been hooked ever since.
Favorite Songs: way back; biebs in the trap; pick up the phone
8.) Cheat Codes
Another Mayfest favorite from April, I can’t stop listening to their new single with Demi Lovato. Whether you’re dancing around your room getting ready or driving to work/ summer classes, Cheat Codes will make any activity feel like a party.
Favorite Songs: No Promises; Shed A Light; Follow You
9.) Exit
Spotify’s Discover Weekly is a beautiful invention because that is how I found out about Exit. It just wouldn’t be summer without a cut and dry pop punk album to jump around to, and their new EP “Familiar Ground” is here to fill your needs.
Favorite Songs: Familiar Ground; Semantics; Still
10.) Neck Deep
The boys are back and better than ever. With two new singles released a couple of days ago, we all know that this album is sure to bring up some controversial topics and a lot of fun. With a new album dropping in August, who wouldn’t want to get out all your teen angst before going back to school?
Favorite Songs: The Beach Is For Lovers, Not Lonely Losers; Happy Judgement Day; Kali Ma
Whether you’re driving to the beach, studying for that dreaded summer class, or on your way to the next summer adventure, make sure to check out these artists to brighten up your mood or jam out to by the pool; you will not be disappointed!
