We had the pleasure of sitting down with Youth Fountain to chat all about their upcoming album Together In Lonesome!
Hi! Thank you so much for sitting down with us – how are you today?
Thanks for having me on! Doing great today.
Your 3rd studio album Together In Lonesome comes out on Friday (November 3rd) – what made this writing & release process different from your previous releases?
I would say it’s different in the way it was recorded – I went down to LA to work with Anton Delost and he really helped produce all the demos I had written for the album and made everything shine as bright as they could. Was a really fun experience!
Can you pick one song on the album and tell us the story behind it?
For sure! I would say ‘Roses In My Backpack’ has a neat story behind it. It was an older song I had written when I was 16 and I originally had it as a track for one of my first musical projects. I always felt like that song had potential to be a great, catchy song and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
You’re currently on the road with Story Of The Year! What’s your favorite part about touring and playing shows every night?
We absolutely are! Super exciting for sure. I would say just meeting fans of the project and getting to meet anyone who has supported the band and loves the music; always humbling and forever grateful to have those moments.
Time for a fun question! What’s the superior fall flavor in your opinion: Apple or Pumpkin?
Easy – pumpkin for sure. Pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pies, pumpkin loaves – all my favorite.
Thanks again for chatting with us! Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Of course! Just want to say thank you to anyone reading the interview and for checking out Youth Fountain! Hope everyone likes the new record Together In Lonesome!
